About Gideon
I'm a philosophy doctoral candidate student at Rhodes University, researching in the areas of moral and political philosophy. My thesis attempts to develop Albert Camus’ ethics and political philosophy, which extols human solidarity and explores how to mitigate the forces that inhibit us from acting humanely. I completed my MA in philosophy (with distinction) in 2021.

My guiding principles are simplicity, clarity and precision. And my teaching method is conversational. Typically, a short article will be recommended to you, for your perusal, before each class. The lesson shall be largely comprised of the history and practice of philosophy, with thought experiments and critical reflections.
