About Igor

I am a social scientist and educator with experience teaching and supporting students at leading UK universities, including the University of Birmingham and the London School of Economics. I hold a PhD in Public Administration.

I have taught and supervised students across economics, public policy, health and social care policy, public sector economics, institutional economics, and quantitative and qualitative research methods. I also have extensive experience supporting students with dissertations, research design, literature reviews, analytical frameworks, methodology chapters, and academic writing.

Students have given my teaching positive feedback, and some of my modules have been voted among the best courses on their programmes. I enjoy helping students turn complex ideas into clear arguments, improving their confidence, and developing the skills needed to produce strong academic work.

In addition to university-level teaching, I also supported GCSE and A-level students in economics, helping them build a strong understanding of economic concepts, analytical thinking, and exam technique.

About the lesson

I provide tailored support for students at different levels, from GCSE Economics through to undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation support.

For GCSE Economics students, I can help with understanding key economic concepts, including supply and demand, markets, government intervention, inflation, unemployment, economic growth, fiscal policy, and international trade. I also support students with exam technique, interpreting diagrams, structuring written answers, and applying economic theory to real-world examples.

For undergraduate and postgraduate students, I provide dissertation and academic writing support in economics, public policy, political economy, social policy, health policy, and related social science subjects. I can help with refining research questions, structuring dissertations, developing literature reviews, building analytical frameworks, choosing suitable methods, interpreting evidence, and improving the clarity and coherence of academic writing.

I also support students with qualitative and quantitative research methods, including comparative case studies, interviews, survey methods, econometrics, and applied data analysis. I can provide detailed feedback on draft chapters, explain complex theories and methods in simple terms, and help students strengthen both their immediate assignment and their broader academic skills.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, level, and university or school requirements. I have experience in university teaching and research, including teaching at the London School of Economics and the University of Birmingham. My background in public sector economics, health economics, health policy, social care, and social policy helps me connect academic theory with real-world policy and economic issues.
