About Gaia

Hello everyone! Bonjour à tous! ¡Hola a todos! My name is Gaia and I have the following qualifications:

- Master's degree in Interpreting, University of Bologna (2023)
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistic and Intercultural Mediation (cum Laude), University of Bologna (2020)
- Linguistic high school diploma, with CertiLingua Label of Excellence for Plurilingual, European and International competences in English, French and Spanish (2017)

In addition, as a long-life learner, I am now doing a PhD in Interpreting and Translation Studies at DCU, Ireland.

Due to my studies in Translation and Interpreting, I have developed over the years a deep understanding of the literatures and cultures of my languages of studies (English, French, Italian, Spanish and Japanese), and of the various countries where these languages are spoken. However, as a foreign languages and cultures enthusiast, I have been studying since my high school times the literatures of other countries around the world.

As I have always loved to be helpful teaching has inevitably become one of my greatest passions, and I have now accumulated more than 5 years of experience in teaching foreign languages and literatures, having held lessons at Università Aperta of Imola, DCU, in private schools and as a private teacher.

About the lesson

Whether you are struggling with your Literature essays or you need to prepare an exam in Foreign Literatures but do not know where to start, I can be of help!

I have more than 5 years of experience in teaching foreign languages and literatures, with more than 100 students who have studied with me. I have held lessons at university, in private schools and as a private teacher, among others.

My lessons are always personalised according to each student's needs, whether they are to pass an exam, do the homework for the next lesson, or simply cultivate their passion for literature.

There is no need for you to be proficient in the language of the country whose literature will be considered.
However, during the lessons we will use both original and translated texts and I will give you some notions about the language of the original text.

This method is highly appreciated by my students as it enables them to have a deeper understanding of the original meaning of texts and of the country's culture as well.
