About Melissa
I am a PhD student at the University of Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona working on my doctoral thesis in how the crime of sexual assault can be tackled on a supranational level, namely at the European Court of Human Rights. This September I will be teaching a class to final year law students in protection of human rights, so I will be well equipped to tutor students at any level of their law degree!
Research is my passion, so alongside classes in specific subjects, I will be more than happy to provide any support needed in writing dissertations, as I know that tackling your first dissertation can be especially daunting!

I have a Scots law LLB (hons) (high 2:1) and an LLM in European and Global Law (8.5 average) with experience in Scots law and international law, specialised in human rights law, reproductive law, and legal history.
I will offer 1-2 hour lessons in subjects relating to my specialisms and in the following Scots law subjects:
- property law, trust law, and the law of succession
- constitutional law
- family law
- the law of delict
- contract law
I will also offer classes in dissertation/thesis research and writing, having achieved an A and a 9.5 grade in my undergraduate dissertation and my masters thesis respectively.
