About Tris
I am passionate about education and empowering students to fulfill their potential and reach their goals. I know mathematical subjects often seem intimidating to social science students and I have made it my mission to help them overcome their fear and discover how fun, useful and empowering it can be to understand and use statistical methods.
Qualifications:
- PhD(c) and MSc in Cognitive and Decision Sciences, UCL with distinction (>80%)
- 4 years experience teaching Intro, Intermediate and Advanced Multivariate Statistical Methods to Psychology students at UCL
- AFHEA trained and qualified - Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
- 6 years experience applying statistical methods in industry and government settings, including analysing national trials
- Self-employed as statistical consultant working with private companies and government organisations
- Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute (national institute for Data Science)
- 16+ publications in scientific journals (Nature, Frontiers, BPS), and top AI conferences (ACL)

I am happy to establish long-term relationships with students in the social sciences that require coaching and support with quantitative subjects throughout their studies (statistics and programming modules, research projects, dissertations). Especially interested in mentoring young people eager to go into research careers.
