About Ali
I am a PhD researcher in Civil Engineering at UNSW Sydney, specializing in concrete materials and sustainable construction. Before beginning my PhD, I worked as a university lecturer, teaching reinforced concrete design, engineering mechanics, engineering drawing and other core civil engineering subjects to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
My teaching style is patient, structured and focused on genuine understanding. I know that engineering can feel overwhelming when equations are presented without clear reasoning, so I explain every concept step by step and connect theory with practical examples. My goal is not only to help students prepare for exams, but also to develop the confidence and problem-solving skills required to work independently.

Each lesson is tailored to your course requirements, with clear step-by-step explanations, worked examples and focused exam preparation. I do not just solve problems. I teach you how to approach them confidently on your own.
I am a PhD researcher in Civil Engineering at UNSW Sydney and a former university lecturer with experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. Lessons typically run for 60–90 minutes and cover reinforced concrete design, concrete technology, engineering mechanics, engineering drawing, strength of materials and other core civil engineering subjects
Recommendations

Ali was my tutor for the ENGG1300 Engineering Mechanics workshops at UNSW. He explained difficult topics in a simple and practical way, especially free-body diagrams, equilibrium, moments and forces. He was patient with questions and never rushed through the working. His step-by-step approach made the subject much easier to follow and helped me become more confident when solving problems on my own.
