About Winnie
I hold a PhD in Quantitative Methods and Computational Psychology and have eight years of experience teaching, consulting, and applying statistics in both academic and professional settings.
During my doctoral training, I was a teaching assistant for undergraduate introductory statistics courses at the University of Southern California for two years. I also taught graduate-level courses on regression and multilevel modeling, led workshops on R and SPSS, and worked as a statistical consultant, mentoring graduate students with their research data analyses.
Today, I work as a psychometrician in large-scale educational assessment, where I apply advanced statistical methods to evaluate assessments and conduct research on emerging applications of AI and large language models in education.
I enjoy helping students build confidence in statistics by breaking down complex concepts into clear, practical steps. Whether you're taking your first statistics course, learning statistical software, or working on a research project or thesis, my goal is to help you understand the "why" behind the methods, not just how to run the analysis.

I offer personalized statistics and research methods tutoring for undergraduate and graduate students in psychology and the social sciences. Whether you're taking your first statistics course, preparing for exams, working on assignments, or analyzing data for a thesis or dissertation, I tailor each lesson to your goals and experience.
My teaching emphasizes understanding concepts rather than memorizing formulas. I break down complex statistical ideas into clear, intuitive explanations and guide students through practical examples using real datasets. I can help you learn R, SPSS, and Stata, interpret statistical results, choose appropriate analyses, and communicate your findings with confidence.
With a PhD in Quantitative Methods and Computational Psychology, I combine strong methodological expertise with experience applying statistics to psychological and behavioral research. My aim is not only to help you succeed in your current course or project, but also to build the skills and confidence you need to conduct and evaluate research independently.
