About Alina
Hi, I’m Alina, a second-year PhD student in Psychology at ARU Cambridge. I hold an MSc with distinction from Anglia Ruskin University and a BA in English and Creative Writing from the University of Birmingham. My academic background combines strong writing and research skills, which allows me to support students in developing high-quality academic essays.
Through my studies, I have extensive experience writing essays, research papers, and academic reports, as well as helping others improve their written work. I understand the expectations of academic writing and how to structure clear arguments, engage critically with sources, and communicate ideas effectively.
I enjoy helping students build confidence in their writing and develop skills that will support them throughout their academic studies.

My lessons focus on helping students develop clear, well-structured, and persuasive academic writing. I guide students through the key components of strong essays, including building arguments, structuring paragraphs, using evidence effectively, and writing with clarity. Rather than simply correcting work, I focus on helping students understand how to improve their writing so they can apply these skills independently.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are tailored to each student’s needs. We may work on planning essays, improving structure and argumentation, editing drafts, or preparing for exams and coursework. I also help students develop critical thinking and academic writing techniques that are essential for GCSE, A-level, and university study.
My aim is to help students feel more confident in their writing while producing clearer, stronger academic work.
