About Ali

- I’m a PhD student in Linguistics at UMass. My main areas of interest in linguistics are phonology and morphology with a secondary interest in syntax. - I completed my master’s program at Memorial University of Newfoundland. - As for my work experience, I worked as a teaching assistant for several undergraduate linguistics courses during my graduate studies. - I also took the Teaching Skills Enhancement Program at Memorial University where I had the chance to teach a linguistics course. - I have also been a tutor for more than 3 years, offering online sessions in different areas of linguistics to undergraduate students of linguistics.

About the lesson

I teach linguistics to undergraduate/graduate students. Some sub-fields that I can help you with are: Phonetics/Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, Pragmatics among others. I can help you with your assignments, projects, research, and exams. My students have always had very good term results. My approach is to attempt to simplify complex and abstract linguistic concepts for my students. I also provide continuous support for students. Perfect! Ali is an amazing tutor! I learn new skills every-time I work with him. I have always struggled with grammatical categories but Ali makes sure to highlight why I am struggling with a particular category, breaking things down into its smallest parts to better my understanding! Can not recommend Ali enough!
