About Kathryn
Hi, I’m Kathryn—a dedicated and experienced educator with a PhD and a passion for helping students grow in confidence, clarity, and critical thinking. I’ve taught at the university level and worked with learners of all ages, from high school to postgraduate. My approach is rigorous yet supportive, tailored to each student’s needs and learning style. Whether you’re tackling a complex theory, refining an essay, or exploring a new subject, I’m here to guide you with patience, structure, and care. My lessons are student-centered, discussion-driven, and adapted to each learner’s needs. I combine close reading, critical thinking, and structured guidance to help students build confidence and clarity—whether in essay writing, theory, or exam prep.
A typical session begins by reviewing your goals or assignments, then moves into concept clarification, applied practice, and feedback. I often use probing questions and real-world examples to deepen understanding and spark curiosity.
