About Gerrit
I have been teaching German as a foreign language for over ten years. My career began at the University of Rochester in New York, where I worked as a lecturer and gained valuable experience in university-level teaching. What sets my lessons apart from conventional language courses is the combination of linguistic precision with deep expertise in political and historical contexts.
I hold a PhD from the University of British Columbia. My field of study encompasses the humanities, with a focus on media studies and cultural history. This academic background allows me to teach the German language not just as a tool for communication, but as a complex system that is closely linked to political,

While we converse naturally on topics that interest you, I discreetly track your grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, providing you with structured, actionable feedback at the end of each session.
