About Ignacio
I am a lecturer and researcher in International Relations, holding a PhD and with teaching experience across different academic contexts in Latin America and the UK. My work focuses on political and IR theory, geopolitics and international security, with a particular interest in how complex global dynamics can be understood through clear conceptual frameworks.
I have worked with students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds, helping them engage with challenging material and develop their own analytical perspective. My aim is not only to explain key ideas, but to support students in thinking critically, structuring arguments, and gaining confidence in discussing international politics.

My lessons are designed to help students navigate the complexity of International Relations in a clear, structured and critical way. We focus on understanding key theories and concepts, and on applying them to contemporary global issues such as geopolitics, foreign policy and regional dynamics.
Depending on your needs, sessions can combine conceptual explanation, discussion of key authors and schools of thought, and the analysis of real-world cases. I also provide support with essay writing, exam preparation and the development of research projects, helping students build coherent arguments and strengthen their analytical skills.
My approach emphasises clarity, critical thinking and the connection between theory and practice. Lessons are adapted to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as to anyone looking to develop a deeper and more informed understanding of global politics.
