About Evan
I am a PhD Ecologist of Harvard University. My research has brought me around the world to study the dynamics of ecosystems. Along the way, I have mentored numerous undergraduate and master's students as they begin their academic journey. All of my mentees have gone on to world-leading graduate programs or highly competitive industry positions. As a first-generation college student myself, I have volunteered at several non-profits focused towards college application assistance for first-generation students and underserved communities. I earned my bachelor's degree from Purdue University in a field different than my PhD, so I also have extensive experience in pivoting directions throughout the academic journey and in both flagship public and elite private institutions. The college and graduate admissions worlds are complex and opaque, and I am happy to help anyone at any part of the journey navigate through this system.

I will provide one-on-one video mentorship to students to advise college or graduate school application approaches, as well as review application materials. I can also provide personalized advice to students regarding undergraduate or graduate program selection, building a strong academic CV or resume, finding fellowship and grant opportunities, or most other academic tasks. I have mentored many students of all levels that have gone on to the world's most competitive undergraduate universities and graduate programs, including Harvard, Oxford, elite-UC programs, and other Ivy+ institutions. I am passionate about helping students to situate themselves and succeed in the academic world.
