Hi, my name is Atif. I am a PhD Economics student with a passion for teaching. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
My teaching philosophy:
I consider my self a lifelong student. I am always curious to learn new things and whilst I love learning, I know very well the challenges associated with studying a given subject. For this reason, I consider my tutees as peers and fellow students on the same journey. So I do not see my job as simply providing you with answers. Instead, my job is:
- to encourage you and help you to see your potential
- to nurture the tools you need so you can confidently approach the subject matter
- to identify gaps in knowledge and pre-emptively address problem areas
- to help clarify a problem and clear misunderstandings
- to provide different perspectives in understanding
- to help structure your thoughts
- to challenge you to excel
- and to ensure actual learning has taken place
This is my teaching style which has been appreciated by my numerous students across all levels.

- creating a judgement free, relaxed environment where you feel safe to learn and ask *any* question!
- developing a clear learning path tailored to you
- understanding concepts from different perspectives
- understanding intuition behind the math

- exam focus (because passing exams is important too!)

Telegram/Whatsapp between lessons support:
Often students have questions outside of lessons. Sometimes you need help on your homework, other times you might want to quickly get some clarification. So a new service I am offering students is access to my telegram/whatsapp group where you can ask me questions anytime in-between lessons. This is provided at no additional cost.
In-person tutoring:
I can teach in-person either at my home or at your home. I will not charge a travel fee if you are located less than 2 miles away from my house.
Online tutoring:
I teach online via Zoom/Teams. I have invested in a professional microphone, tablet and pen and software to ensure the teaching is of high quality. I am also happy to record our teaching sessions so you can replay them at your convenience if you feel that this will be useful. This is at not additional cost.

He is one of the best Tutor I have ever met, he is conscience and especially his teaching in explaining logic and economic theories are very well.
I've listened to several of his tutorial lessons about macroeconomics, he teaches with great enthusiasm but most importantly, he explains the concepts and the approaches to the solutions very clearly. He is conscientious and detailed about explaining knowledge points and the logic is very clear.

Please note that my rates include preparation time which can be up to 1 hour for every hour of tutoring. Preparing for each lesson is very important to me because it ensures I can give you a high level of teaching and a quality learning experience.
