About Shane
I have over 10 years of experience with academic writing, teaching, tutoring, and mentoring.
I double-majored in philosophy and sociology, and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I also have a master's degree in philosophy. Currently, I'm a PhD candidate working on a dissertation about philosophical methodology.

I teach college essay writing skills at every step of the process-- brainstorming and outlining, researching and drafting, revising and editing.
I will tailor our lessons to your individual needs. We can work together synchronously or asynchronously. We can work on particular assignments, develop your general essay writing skills, or both.
I have worked with students on a range of subjects including philosophy, sociology, psychology, English, literature, political science, and history.
I have experience working with English language learners, first gen students, and neurodivergent students.
