About Max
I’m a Lead Computational Design Consultant with ~10 years of industry experience and a PhD in Architecture. In addition to my formal role, I lead computational design and automation initiatives at a regional level, working on complex, real-world projects.
Alongside industry work, I’ve been teaching architecture design studios, Grasshopper and environmental design at university level for several years. This means I understand both sides: academic expectations and how these tools are actually applied in practice.
My aim in teaching is to help you move beyond tutorials and develop real capability — whether that’s producing stronger studio projects, building a portfolio, or gaining skills that are directly relevant in industry.
I focus on explaining concepts clearly, structuring workflows properly, and helping you build confidence using these tools independently.

I offer tailored Rhino, Grasshopper, Python and Ladybug Tools lessons for architecture students, graduates and professionals. Sessions are flexible and built around your goals, whether that’s learning the fundamentals, improving your uni work, or developing industry-ready workflows.
My teaching is modular and hands-on. I use a mix of:
1. Structured exercises to build a strong foundation in Rhino, Grasshopper and environmental tools
2. Direct support on your own projects (uni, thesis or professional work)
3. Simplified, real-world tasks so you learn how these tools are actually used in practice
The focus is always on practical outcomes, not just theory.
Lessons typically run for 60–90 minutes and are adapted to your level, from complete beginners to advanced users looking to refine parametric design, automation or environmental analysis workflows.
