About Patrick
Massive congratulations — if you’re reading this, you’ve already started the journey toward something you really want. Having recently completed Graduate Entry Medicine at UL myself about to start interning, I know both how exciting and challenging that process can be.
With a BSc and MSc in Biotechnology, and years of experience teaching Science, English, and GAMSAT, my approach is personalised to each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and target score. Sessions include tailored study plans, curated notes, practice questions, and proven exam strategies, with a particular emphasis on Section 2, essay structure, and building confidence under pressure.
My goal is to make the GAMSAT feel more approachable while giving students the tools, structure, and mindset needed to perform at their best.
Other than that I like rugby and I am a massive nerd.

Recently graduated Medical Student at the University of Limerick with a strong academic background in Biotechnology (B.Sc.) and Marketing Management (M.Sc.), and years of experience tutoring Science, English, and GAMSAT. My teaching style combines clear scientific explanation with strong communication skills developed through clinical training, research, and public speaking.
My lessons typically run 60–90 minutes and are built around three core pillars:
Strategy – understanding how the exam thinks and how to approach it effectively
Skill-building – targeted practice for each section to maximise improvement
Mindset – developing confidence, structure, and calm under pressure
I have a particular focus on English and Section 2, where I’ve consistently performed in the 80+ percentile. I emphasise essay structure, thematic development, and producing clear, high-scoring arguments under time pressure. Students receive tailored feedback, example essays, and personalised prompts designed to accelerate improvement.

Perfect! Patrick is a fantastic tutor who really helped me get my head around Section 3, especially coming from a zero science background. He explains concepts in a very clear, simple way that makes them much easier to understand.
He’s also great at giving advice on essay structure for Section 2 and breaking down the nuance of Section 1, which made a big difference to how I approach the exam.
