About Debashree
Hi, I’m Debashree Das Gupta, a passionate educator, music therapist, and consultant with a rich background in both the technical and healing aspects of music. My journey began when I transitioned from a career in law to pursue my true calling—using music as a medium for both personal expression and holistic well-being. I specialize in integrating applied music and technical singing lessons with a deep understanding of your own voice, your thought process as well as well-being, aiming not only to develop vocal and musical skills but also to foster emotional resilience, self-awareness, and holistic growth. My teaching approach is designed to help individuals unlock their potential through a combination of traditional techniques and personalized learning. I have an experience of 7+ years in music teaching with diverse experiences through platforms like Indian Idol 4 (Theatre Round Contestant-Top 70 Participants), Quarter Finalist- Sangam Kala Group National Singing Competition (Surtarang), Associate Professor at Shankar Mahadevan Academy (2017-2022), Fellow at Arts for Good Fellowship as well as Project Funded by Singapore International Foundation. I also contributed and benefited from being a part of Global Arts for Medicine Fellowship. I constantly learn, train, read, listen, introspect in my professional journey, so that my work impacts lives. I offer a unique blend of practical knowledge and innovative methods to create a transformative learning experience. Whether you’re looking to improve your singing technique or explore the therapeutic potential of music, my lessons provide a nurturing and personalized environment of growth for all ages.
