About Alessandro
I am an Italian musician (Piano and Guitar) , singer songwriter and performer based in London. In the past 5 years I focused on my career as a musician, I've put together a band of 10 elements, release an album of 11 tracks produced by Camelle Hinds (Style Council, Paul Weller), and tour between UK and Europe. My background is musical theatre. I started in Italy where I was theatre trained and continued in London at the London Contemporary Centre of Music (1 year masterclass in Performance and Songwriting). My show has been described more as and event rather then a simple gig. I've wrote and performed a play which went on at The Half Moon in Putney this February with a sold out night and is about to be live at Camden Fringe this August.
My songwriting is based in English but I can also help anyone that would like to explore different languages as French, Italian or Spanish. I can definitely help any musician that would like to express themselves through songwriting (Blues, Jazz, Rock, RnB, Pop).

My teaching approach to songwriting is based on what I learned at LCCM combine with my experience in London.
We will start with a general look in to how to make a popular song (whatever genere), the structure of it, and how to create engaging lyrics.
Once a week the student will have to bring up to 3 sketches (ideas for a song) at class. From there we'll start working on how to create a complete song.
This will incorporate some jam sessions. Something that I found inspiring throughout my experience is how collaboration between musicians, and musical free movement of musical expression can take the best out of a song.
After that we will start looking in to lyrics and see what words will be the most appropriate to the song.
Now that the song is more then a sketch, we will start looking into musical theory and harmonies to work on the best arrangement of the piece we just create.
We will aim to have 3 composition ready to be recorded and produced and after that the student should be able to continue his work without my help anymore.
Throughout the whole class we will also look into performance and how to perform a song on stage alone or with the a band.
The lesson will take place at my place in Camden, and some others will be in one of the rehearsals room at Camden Guitars.
