About Veda
I am a passionate piano tutor with 14 years of experience, having taught around 300 students, including high school learners, college students, and adults. My teaching philosophy focuses on building a strong technical foundation while encouraging creativity and musical expression.
I emphasise posture, hand coordination, finger independence, scales, rhythm, sight-reading, and interpretation, ensuring students connect both technically and emotionally with the music. Each lesson is structured with warm-ups, technical exercises, theory, and repertoire practice, and I provide guidance for effective at-home practice.
Many of my students have performed confidently in recitals, school programmes, and public events, and several have achieved high distinctions in graded examinations. My goal is to help students become confident, skilled, and expressive pianists who enjoy learning and growing in music.

My approach to teaching piano is student-centred and adaptable. I carefully assess each learner’s level, strengths, and preferred learning style before designing lessons. I emphasise strong technical skills, including hand coordination, rhythm precision, scale mastery, and dynamic control.
I teach students effective practice techniques to help them improve consistently outside of lessons. Flexibility allows me to modify explanations and exercises whenever needed to ensure understanding. Collaboration plays a key role in maintaining motivation, as students are involved in setting goals and selecting music that inspires them.
I maintain a positive environment where effort and improvement are recognised. Along with piano instruction, I offer lessons in music theory, keyboard harmony, sight-reading, and beginner composition to strengthen overall musicianship.
