About Henry
I believe that anyone can learn piano with the right guidance and regular practice. As a piano tutor with over 12 years of experience, I enjoy helping college students build both confidence and musical ability through structured lessons.
My teaching style focuses on understanding each student's needs before creating a personalized learning plan. I explain every lesson clearly using simple English and practical demonstrations that make learning comfortable and enjoyable.
I include innovative teaching methods such as digital learning tools, ear training, rhythm practice, visual demonstrations, and interactive exercises. These activities help students stay motivated while improving technical and creative skills.
Students learn note reading, scales, chords, timing, posture, finger coordination, and musical expression. I encourage consistent practice and provide constructive feedback that supports steady progress throughout the learning journey.

My teaching philosophy combines communication, creativity, flexibility, and patience. I believe every piano lesson should help students grow both technically and creatively. I create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning with confidence.
Students first develop essential skills through posture, hand coordination, finger exercises, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. Once these foundations are secure, they progress to scales, chords, dynamics, articulation, pedal techniques, expressive performance, sight reading, and musical interpretation.
Every lesson includes demonstrations, guided practice, listening exercises, and regular revision. Students receive personalized practice plans that encourage steady improvement while building discipline and confidence.
Students also explore different musical genres and improve creativity through accompaniment, improvisation, and expressive performance. These experiences strengthen musical understanding and artistic expression.
Besides piano, I teach keyboard techniques, rhythm development, ear training, music theory, sight reading, performance preparation, music appreciation, and beginner composition. These additional subjects provide balanced musical education.
My mission is to help students become confident pianists who enjoy music and continue learning throughout life.
