About Carolyn
During my time as writing tutor for Penn State University, I learned that writing can be a painful experience for many students. Many are new to college-level writing, don't care about the topics they're writing about, or just haven't developed confidence in their skills yet. My role is to help build both skills and confidence through a patient and reflective teaching approach. Most of all, I'd like to help make writing somewhat fun--or at least, not so painful.

As a college writing tutor, I teach lasting writing and reading skills, ask critical questions for the tutee to consider, and encourage the tutee to discover what they truly care about.
Most of all, I offer the organizational framework expected in college papers while encouraging the tutee to discover new things about both themselves and their topic within that framework.
