I’m a twenty-four-year-old interdisciplinary artist with a 2:1 degree in drama and French. I value patience, clarity and enjoyability in tutors and provide lighthearted and understanding lessons for clients of all ages who are serious about learning French.

I am obsessed with languages and am eager to share this excitement with engaged and hungry learners.

EXPERIENCE

I am very familiar with teaching both English and French. After being the first to receive an A* in my early exams in secondary school, I became the first Joint Subject Ambassador (for drama and French), later tutoring fellow A-Level students on their grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, and receiving an A* on my final exams. My talent for languages was also recognised at the neighbouring primary school, where I then volunteered part-time for six years, being able to act as a French tutor for English students from 5-10 years of age and as a translator and facilitator for French students of 9-10 years of age.

I then went on to receive a 2:1 BA degree from the University of Sussex and was classified as having a proficiency of C1. In my third year of university, I worked with the British council as an English language assistant for one academic year to single-handedly teach English to numerous classes of 10-30 French students aged 12-18. All of these students, I am proud to say, succeeded in their exams.

I have since gone on to work as a French tutor for anglophones here in London and for British-born children and teenagers who have ‘lost touch’ with the French spoken by their non-British families.

Having had such experience with these various, international syllabuses, I can adapt to any school curriculum and can help children and teenagers to excel in their French language studies. But I am familiar with tutoring adults as well and am more than happy to!

EXPERTISE

My area of expertise is grammar, but I am a fluent French speaker who can support you with all aspects of the French language from conversational to technical expression, from vocabulary to accuracy and eloquence in speaking.

I specialise in teaching beginners and intermediate learners but can certainly consider working with advanced learners, too.

My rates are currently £35 an hour.

At the moment, I can only offer in-person lessons at clients’ addresses.

I work across the entirety of London and Greater London and teach all age groups and all levels of proficiency up to C1.

Returning clients receive exceptional discounts and even occasional bonuses!

-- Although I have held a valid IPCC in the past, I do not currently hold a DBS certificate.

-- Small extraneous fees may be incurred to cover travel time and distance.
