About Arla
I am a violin tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance. My teaching focuses on more than just playing notes. I create a space where students can explore their emotions through music. Learning becomes personal and meaningful.
My approach is holistic and centered on well-being. I guide students in using the violin for self-expression and emotional release. Music becomes a form of storytelling. It allows students to connect deeply with themselves.
I include improvisation, journaling, and soundscape creation in my lessons. These tools help reduce stress and support mindfulness. Each session is calm and reflective.
I have worked with neurodiverse learners, trauma survivors, and adults seeking healing through music. I adapt my teaching with care and patience. The violin becomes a safe space for growth, connection, and emotional balance.

My teaching approach is centered on helping students build a natural and expressive violin technique. I focus on clear, step-by-step learning that supports long-term progress. Each lesson is structured but adaptable. Students grow at their own pace.
Vibrato development is a key part of my method. I guide students in finding a relaxed and balanced motion. We work on controlling both the speed and width of vibrato. Control brings confidence.
I also teach how to use vibrato for expressive phrasing. This adds emotion and depth to every note. Music becomes more meaningful.
I provide regular feedback to help students improve steadily. I support learners in building confidence and expression. With time and care, you will develop a strong and expressive sound.
