About Ruby
I am a singing tutor with 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice. I have coached over 200 students across Classical, Pop, Musical Theatre, Rock, and Jazz vocal styles. My lessons develop genuine vocal technique including breath support, pitch accuracy, resonance, tone shaping, and stage confidence. I am passionate about helping every student find and love their unique vocal identity. My approach combines technical rigour with creative freedom so students develop both strong skill and genuine artistic expression. My singing lessons develop vocal technique, expression, and performance confidence in a genuinely safe and supportive environment throughout every session. Every lesson opens with a structured comprehensive warm-up covering breathing exercises, lip trills, resonance scales, and graduated pitch work appropriate to the student's current level and voice type. I assess each student's voice type, range, and technical habits before creating a personalised and progressive lesson programme tailored specifically to their voice and musical goals. Breathing and breath management are central to all my teaching because they are the fundamental foundation of all great vocal production and expression. Pitch and intonation training develops progressively through ear training exercises, interval work, and melodic challenges using both piano and digital tools. Pop and Contemporary students work on stylistic delivery, vocal riffs, runs, and microphone technique. Classical students develop resonance, diction, posture, and the formal technical demands of examination and concert performance. I record all significant run-throughs so students can hear their own development objectively and we can identify specific areas for improvement together. Performance coaching covers stage presence, emotional delivery, and managing performance anxiety constructively. My commitment is for every student to sing with genuine freedom, confidence, and lasting artistic joy.
