About Jalen

With a career spanning 12 years, I have had the privilege of teaching guitar to students from school to college level. My mission as a tutor is to make learning music a joyful, creative, and rewarding experience. I believe that the guitar is not just an instrument but a medium through which students can express themselves, build confidence, and develop life skills.

I emphasise a structured yet flexible teaching approach. Students learn the fundamentals of chords, rhythm, and techniques while exploring songs they love, experimenting with compositions, and performing in front of audiences. Many of my students have achieved notable milestones, including school competitions, college events, and public performances—moments that I proudly celebrate with them.

My teaching philosophy centres on patience, encouragement, and creativity. I adapt lessons to suit each student’s interests and abilities, ensuring that learning is engaging and effective. Beyond playing, I focus on developing a love for music, discipline, and self-expression.

Seeing students progress from their first chord to confident performances is the most fulfilling part of my career. Teaching guitar is more than a profession for me—it is a way to share my passion, inspire creativity, and help students achieve their musical dreams.

About the lesson

My Guitar teaching methodology is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I believe learning Guitar should be clear, structured, and enjoyable.

I follow a step-by-step method. Beginners start with understanding the parts of the guitar, tuning, posture, and simple finger exercises. Then we move to basic chords, strumming patterns, and rhythm practice. Advanced students learn scales, barre chords, fingerstyle, and improvisation.

Motivation keeps students consistent. I encourage regular practice and help them set weekly goals. Small achievements build strong confidence.

Communication is very important in my class. I explain every concept in simple language and demonstrate practically. I make sure students understand both theory and playing techniques.

Integrity means I focus on correct methods and discipline. I ensure students build strong basics and avoid wrong habits.

Creativity is included through song practice, chord progression building, and melody creation. I also teach basic music theory, rhythm training, ear training, and performance preparation. My goal is to develop confident and independent Guitar players.
