About Verley John
I am a polyglot tutor that speaks and writes 4 languages (Haitian Creole, French, Spanish & English) and currently learning Mandarin Chinese as the 5th language I would like to be able to speak and write. My tutoring journey started at HACC and Penn State Harrisburg, PA when I once went to look for help at the tutoring center. This was my first semester. I sometimes needed to take 18/21 credits course load due to financial reasons, so I could finish faster. I needed help, so I looked for it. After seeing how much help I received I wanted to give back and make sure I mastered what I learned, so I signed up to be a tutor for the next semester. The awards and credentials are just for show, what touched me most was how impactful it felt helping my fellow students while still in school.

This allows me to focus on my tutees' needs. After all, I am here to show them they can, why not start by listening to them first.
