About Carlos
I am a 2021 Harvard College graduate with a degree in Computer Science and secondary in Neuroscience. I worked as a software engineer for 2 years before completing my premed-postbac at Scripps College. I am currently applying to medical school.
In my free time, I enjoy drumming and everything music-related, painting, spending time outdoors, and creative writing.

I am passionate about helping others overcome an absolute terror of a test. As a test-prep tutor for over 5 years and more recently an MCAT tutor, I have extensive experience helping students meet their goals and handle the daunting challenges of test-prep.
Specifically, I focus on the following:
1. Creating an efficient and REALISTIC study-plan given your time-constraints. I don't believe in over-committing.
2. Helping students identify test-patterns to reduce the amount you need to memorize. As someone who struggles with memory myself, I emphasize learning the test over memorizing every single fact that the MCAT could ask about.
3. Identifying your UNIQUE challenges instead of giving copy-paste advice from the internet.
4. Getting students organized to track and learn from their own testing mistakes and weaknesses.
