About Nina
After completing the bilingual International Baccalaureate, I earned an Upper Second Class Honours degree in BA Comparative Literature from King’s College London followed by a year-long postgraduate course in Professional Acting at the Oxford School of Drama. Through my literary and acting background, respectively, I have gained a strong understanding of written and visual narrative in both an academic and a practical way.
My main experience as a tutor is focused on the IB, specifically IB English Literature and Language/Literature, German Language and Literature, Theatre Arts and Extended Essay writing and I currently mostly tutor students preparing for the 11+ exams, with a focus on Comprehension and Creative Writing. I have helped students get into some of the best schools in London, including Latymer, City, Putney High, and waitlisted for St. Paul's. I also have experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level English Literature.
I would love to help students preparing for Drama School auditions in future if there is any demand for this. I can also offer tutoring support for scriptwriting or editing.
In summary, I work well one-on-one with students of all ages. I have a profound knowledge of the English language and literature, and able to tutor students with English as a first language as well as those with English as a second language. I have a profound knowledge of the German language and literature, and able to tutor students with German as a first language as well as those with German as a second language. I have the ability to help children and students with drama or acting examinations. I have excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and a strong ability to explain text or work. Most importantly, I have a real passion for languages and literature, and a desire to encourage that in others. I have the ability to plan material and deliver the information in lessons. I am reliable and committed to the work and the needs of the child or student, and I am a friendly, open, confident and positive person.
