About Norah

I’m a guitar tutor with over 2 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Studio Music and Jazz, where I focused on guitar as my principal instrument. I specialize in teaching Electric, Acoustic, Classical, and Bass Guitar, especially for film scoring and video game soundtracks. My lessons explore creating atmospheric textures, thematic development, and sound design—skills that bring music to life on screen and in games. I’m also well-versed in working with digital audio workstations (DAWs), helping students integrate their guitar work seamlessly into modern media projects. My teaching approach is student-centered and adaptable, designed to support both youth and adult learners who want to develop their skills for media composition. About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on developing strong aural skills through ear training, transcribing songs, melodic dictation, and interval recognition. I believe that training your ear is key to unlocking deeper musical understanding and creativity on the guitar. Each lesson includes practical exercises designed to sharpen listening skills and build confidence in identifying notes and melodies by ear.

I work closely with The Campfire Strummer and The Blues Seeker, tailoring exercises to their style and goals. Together, we explore how to pick out melodies, recognize intervals, and transcribe songs accurately. This approach helps students connect more deeply with music and develop their own voice.

Lessons are hands-on and interactive, encouraging active listening and steady progress. I support learners every step of the way, ensuring they gain skills that last.
