About Kate
I am Kate! I am a passionate and highly energetic grade 10 commerce student who loves accounting and business studies. I chose to become a tutor because I notice so many grade 9 learners choose the commerce stream without truly knowing what to expect, leaving them feeling overwhelmed and ungrounded once they hit grade 10. I want to bridge that gap. As a person, I am naturally very local, friendly, and bubbly, which makes it incredibly easy for students to connect with me. I don't believe in rigid or intimidating classes—I treat my students like peers and build an encouraging space where it is completely safe to make mistakes. I bring massive enthusiasm to every session, and I will patiently explain a concept in multiple different ways until I am 100% sure you fully understand it and feel confident.

I offer a supportive peer-to-peer tutoring approach conducted entirely in English. What makes my lessons unique is that as a grade 10 commerce student, I am navigating the same curriculum alongside my students, so the material, test formats, and challenges are completely fresh in my mind. My lessons are aimed at grade 9 students preparing for high school stream choice of accounting or business studies, and grade 10 accounting and business studies looking for a reliable, relatable study partner to help boost their marks.
