Hi! I'm a passionate French Horn and Brass tutor based in Glasgow and Edinburgh, I have experience teaching all ages and levels. I am a professional French Horn player and regularly perform too!

About Diana
I am a passionate and experienced music educator with 10 years of teaching and performance experience in the UK and internationally. I have experience teaching amateurs and younger students both privately and in schools.
I enjoy adapting my approach to suit individual learning styles. I hold a BMus from the Guildhall School of Music and a Master’s from the Royal College of Music, and I’m currently completing a PGCEi in instrumental teaching.
I perform in UK orchestras and in musical theatre productions such as 'The Lion King' and 'Les Miserables'. My broad experience has equipped me with a wide range of knowledge and enthusiasm that I am passionate to share through teaching. I take pride in building a strong rapport with my students. I enjoy finding creative ways to help them develop both instrumental and music-reading skills.
Music education is so much more than attaining the highest grade or becoming a professional musician, the skills learnt are so transferable and even the one to one time spent in individual lessons can be crucial to a student's confidence. Most importantly though - enjoying learning an instrument!

I mostly teach the French Horn (my main instrument) but can teach all Brass instruments. I can teach beginner to grade 8 and beyond. I can travel to you, you can come to my home in Shawlands or I can deliver online lessons. My schedule is very flexible. Whether you’re learning for fun, working towards exams, or preparing for auditions, I tailor lessons to each student’s goals and learning style. I offer 1-hour lessons but am flexible to discuss what suits you best!
