About Asma

Hey there! I’m a passionate and experienced French tutor, currently pursuing a double master’s degree in French as a Foreign Language and Education. I’m also a student at UCL, specialising in language teaching. I’ve taught students from Year 7 to Year 12, including GCSE and A-Level preparation. My lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether you’re building your foundation, aiming for top grades, or boosting your confidence in speaking, I’m here to help. About the lesson

I also specialise in creating a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel confident and motivated to take risks with their language skills. I believe that making mistakes is an essential part of learning, so I encourage students to experiment with the language and learn from their errors. By fostering a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere, I help students overcome any fear or hesitation they may have about speaking or using the language in real-life situations. Moreover, I have a deep understanding of the cultural aspects of language learning. I make sure to incorporate cultural elements into my lessons, whether it’s exploring French and Spanish literature, music, films, or discussing traditions and customs. This cultural immersion helps students see the language as more than just grammar and vocabulary—it becomes a gateway to understanding different cultures and perspectives, making the learning experience richer and more engaging. Lastly, I focus on individual learning styles and adapt my approach accordingly. Some students may learn best through visual aids, others through listening exercises or hands-on activities. I strive to customise my teaching to match how each student learns best, ensuring they achieve their language goals in a way that works for them!
