My Approach to Private Tutoring
I believe that every learner has unique strengths, and I design my lessons to build confidence while developing strong subject knowledge. My methodology is interactive, student-centered, and adaptable. I use practical examples, step-by-step explanations, and guided practice to ensure that learners not only understand the content but are also able to apply it independently. What makes me unique as a teacher is my ability to simplify complex concepts while maintaining an encouraging and supportive learning environment.
I am proficient in English and Afrikaans and can comfortably teach in both languages.
A typical lesson with me is structured yet flexible: we begin by revising prior knowledge, move into targeted teaching of new content, and then practice through activities and discussions. Each lesson ends with a short reflection to ensure the learner leaves feeling more confident than when they started.
My lessons are aimed at learners from primary through intermediate school levels who may need additional support, exam preparation, or enrichment in their studies. I work especially well with learners who benefit from patient guidance, motivation, and clear strategies for success.
