About Jemima
I am a current student at the University of Oxford who adores my degree (history) but is also a part of poetry and politics society- a testament to my passion for the humanities. People would describe me as positive, bubbly and sociable. Working and discussing with people is where I am at my best as I am naturally highly extroverted. These qualities translate into academics through my dedication to hard work, although, I am certainly empathetic with those who find it harder to be motivated by academics. I believe everyone has a passion for something within every subject and I am especially driven to ignite such passions within any student I am able to tutor.

Techniques vary based on level: At a higher level, (GCSE to A Level) engaging interactivity with texts, ideas and writing- pushing the student to become self-sufficient in the humanities using invigorating methods such as quizzing, argument and writing practice.
For lower levels, (years 2-9 or older students who require the basics) lessons will include continuous varied forms of practice and analogical explanations of concepts to get to grips with basics.
Lesson will typically last 45 minutes to an hour to optimise students' focus and cognitive interactivity.
Experience being a teaching assistant for children with learning disability in schools, as well as tutoring neurotypical children on Christian camps. Have also given informal tutoring to family members- with consequent success.
