Nicole and I went to the same college in the University of Oxford, and both volunteered with a charity programme that offers regular tutoring to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. I have thus had the privilege of getting to know her well. Her intellectual competence goes without saying. What is distinctive is her character. If a metaphor may be used, Nicole is a lighthouse: she is calm, grounded, and reliable, providing a guiding light to those who need it without fail. She is also a great listener and channels this gift into being a committed and flexible problem-solver, while staying empathetic and kind. This way, I'm positive that she will be able to tailor her teaching methods to best benefit the specific needs of her students.

To top it all off, she has a sunny disposition and builds rapport easily with whoever she meets, no matter their age.
