I have just completed my first year of English studies at Oxford, for which I averaged a first-class mark. I attained 3A*s at A-Level for English, Maths and History, and I attained 10A*s at GCSE. I have tutored English at both primary and secondary school level before.

I absolutely love literature, so I teach the poems/stories/books I find really exciting in order to develop a similar passion for literature in my student, as well as using their exam syllabus. I try to get right to roots of literary analysis with the student and encourage them to think critically in their essays. I will also set short weekly reading as one of the best ways to broaden vocabulary and develop a critical eye is to read widely. As a person I am very patient and friendly, and I am happy to help calmly if the student is struggling.
