About Lucy
Hi, I’m Lucy, I have recently graduated from Oxford University with a degree in English Language and Literature. I have previous experience of tutoring children aged 11-18 and am excited to offer tutoring for both GCSE and A-level English Literature. I received the top grades in every subject at GCSE level, and A*A*A*A*B at A-level. I can’t wait to help you to achieve the same!

I teach English in a way that is digestible and fun - by learning first how to unfold the layers of meaning in literature, you will learn to be able to approach any text with the analytical skills that examiners are looking for.
We will work on applying these skills to your set texts. I teach in alignment with the exam board requirements for English Literature, and help you to prepare for what you will be expected to know in your Literature exam.
You will also lean to apply your new skills in critical analysis to exam questions. This is an area that lots of students struggle with. Together, we will walk through how to construct a thorough argument in an exam essay. Bring me your exam questions and we can go through them together!
I will provide written feedback at the end of each week.

- I’m available 7 days a week and will work around your timings.
