About Kiera
Hello! My name is Kiera, and I am in my third year as a medical student at Oxford University. Having recently been through the application process myself, I understand how stressful it can be, and I'm keen to pass on what I have learnt to aspiring students. I scored 3280 (=2460 under the new scoring system) and Band 1 in my own UCAT, a top 1% score, so I have plenty of knowledge, tips and tricks for scoring highly. I received offers from all 4 medical schools I applied to, and achieved 3 A* grades at A Level (Biology, Chemistry and Maths). I have several years of tutoring experience, mentoring students through the medicine application process as a Superprof tutor and a Project Access mentor, and giving mock interviews as part of events run by my university's medical society. No matter what part of the application process you would like to work on, feel free to get in touch.

Lessons will be very much personalised to individual needs. We can start from the beginning and cover all aspects of the UCAT in detail, or focus on areas of weakness if you have begun preparation already. We will cover key concepts, from the tricks used in verbal reasoning, to core ethical values tested in the situational judgement section. We will also go through key exam techniques, as the UCAT is a notoriously time-pressured exam, and some of my top tips from recent personal experience of the test. My timeframes are flexible - tutoring can involve just one or two sessions if you just need help with specific difficulties, up to a long-term plan for the whole application process. Sessions will include guidance on what to cover independently, as well as a rough plan for the next session to help students structure their workload.

Perfect! I’ve really enjoyed my lessons – they’re always well-structured and tailored to what I need help with. The explanations are easy to follow, and I always feel comfortable asking questions :)

Kiera had tutored me UCAT for the last several months and with weekly sessions helped me score a great score! Her tutoring style is one that I fully admire because not only does she get the job done she's so fun too. I look forward to all our sessions because they were tailored specifically to my needs and she prioritised my weak spots helping strengthen them greatly. I really do recommend her as she is an amazing UCAT tutor with so much expertise!
Kiera was such a great mentor! She helped me with UCAT tips, my personal statement, and my CV. Her advice was super clear and actually made a big difference. She was always supportive and easy to talk to—I felt way more confident thanks to her help. Would definitely recommend!
I had no knowledge on the UCAT exam and had no idea how to approach it but Kiera helped me break it down into manageable chunks via our weekly lessons!
10000/10 highly recommend
Kiera was my mentor when I was applying for medicine. I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to do medicine or engineering and even though she only knew about medicine she still went out of her way to help me with an application for engineering as well. She went overboard when helping me and looked for any work experience or programmes I may have been interested in. She gives amazing tips for Alevels as well as for going into uni. My teachers loved my personal statement draft, which Kiera had helped me write and I also got A* in all of my a-level mocks, thanks to her.
For anyone doing their Alevels, applying to medicine at uni or even anyone who is hoping to do their Alevels soon I truly think Kiera is a very good choice to look at when looking for tutors.See more recommendations
