About Alicja
Hello, I recently graduated from the University of Oxford with first class honours in Spanish and Linguistics. Languages are my passion and I love to share this with others through teaching. My students have come out with a genuine comprehension of the language as opposed to superficial phrasing. My specialty is Spanish, and I have spent a significant amount of time in Spain and Latin America, and so am very proficient both orally and with professional writing.

I particularly emphasise in-depth understanding of the language and the way it works and do not depend on route-learning. I follow the syllabus (where applicable) but ensure that the student recognises exactly why an answer is correct. For lessons which are more focused on verbal communication, I take a more lighthearted approach and aim to make conversation in another language as fluid and enjoyable as possible

Alicja has tutored me in both Spanish and Latin for GCSE. She has very good knowledge of the syllabus and worked closely with me to make sure I actually understood the concepts we were learning. In the end I actually enjoyed my course! I would really recommend her if you are struggling with languages and need someone to break things down.
