About Emily
I hold a BA in English and French from the University of Oxford and I am an incoming postgraduate in English Studies at the University of Cambridge. I have 2 years of private tutoring experience in English and French from primary to University Level. I have taught internationally in Thailand, Indonesia and Colombia and hold a CertTESOL qualification for teaching English as a Foreign Language.
During my undergraduate degree at Oxford I was the recipient of an exhibition scholarship for my performance in examination and I presented an academic journal in the field of medieval literature at an international conference. I won two studentships to the University of Cambridge on the basis of academic excellence, including the Cambridge Master's Studentship which is awarded to the 20 top ranking students across disciplines.

My results are driven first and foremost by genuine enthusiasm for my subjects, and I show this same enthusiasm in my teaching. I want to encourage my students to enjoy literature and languages as much as I do. I have successfully used neuroscience-based approaches to learning in my own studies and pass these methods on to my students.
