About Eleri

I believe every learner is different, and that tutoring works best when it's tailored to the needs, learning styles and interests of each individual student. I enjoy working with each student to find the approach that suits them best. I encourage students to develop their own ideas and opinions, as well as supporting them to structure their responses effectively to achieve the best possible marks.

About the lesson

I'm passionate about my subject and I love helping students to learn. I have a first class degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University. I also hold a Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training.

I can help you understand the ideas and political institutions on the syllabus, using examples from current affairs to bring them to life, and I'll help you to answer questions more effectively.

Eleri has been brilliant at helping my son prepare for his 13+ scholarship exams. She has taught him how to analyse texts (fiction and non-fiction) in more depth and how to structure his answers. His marks have gone up impressively since he started having lessons with Eleri, and he has told me what a good teacher she is (which is praise indeed from a grumpy 13 year old!)
