About Ayaat
I am an Oxford-educated English graduate and professional journalist with experience supporting students across English Language, English Literature, and wider humanities subjects. I have worked with learners aged 7–18 across a range of abilities and curricula, including school entrance exams, GCSEs, AS and A-Levels, IB, as well as the Scottish system (National 5s, Highers, and Advanced Highers).
Across 100+ hours of tutoring, I have helped students improve grades, build confidence, and exceed predicted outcomes through structured, personalised support.

I offer support with English Language and Literature, humanities subjects, and academic writing, as well as 7+, 8+, 11+, 13+ and 16+ entrance exams, GCSE, AS and A-Level, IB, and Scottish qualifications (National 5, Higher, Advanced Higher).
I also provide specialist support for Oxbridge applications, including personal statements, admissions test preparation, and interview practice.
I structure and tailor lessons to the individual student. I identify strengths, gaps, and target outcomes at the outset. It's important to me to maintain a relaxed, friendly approach throughout, ensuring sessions are focused without pressure.

I offer a free 30-minute introductory session so you can decide whether the fit feels right before committing to ongoing lessons.
My base rate is £25 per hour, with adjustments depending on subject level and preparation required. Any changes are communicated clearly and in advance.
