About Harry
¡Hola! Привет! I'm an Oxford University graduate and a dedicated Spanish/Russian/English teacher. I also teach essay writing, social sciences and Oxbridge applications.
I'm fluent in Spanish, Russian and English (my native language) and have spent many years teaching and studying languages. I completed a master's degree in Russian and Social Sciences at the University of Oxford (2019), a bachelor's degree in Spanish and Russian at the University of Bristol (2015) and I studied Spanish and English Literature in school (GCSE and A-Level) so I know how daunting grammar can sometimes feel and how stressful language/literature exams can be... but also how great it feels when you finally start getting it!
On the language side of things, I can help you with your writing, listening, speaking, grammar and exam technique. I've also lived in Russia, Spain and Latin America before so I can help you with conversational skills if you're just looking to go travelling or make Spanish/Russian friends.
On the literature side of things, I studied English literature for GCSE and A Level, and a large part of my degree was literature based, so I would be very happy to help any Literature students, if you are struggling with the subject.
If you're in school and really want to get an A/A* (7/8/9), I can make sure you achieve your goal. Whatever your current grade, an A/ A*/7/8/9 is achievable. I have taught these exams for many years, so I know how they work and how you can do well in them. We will work closely with the syllabus and go through some secrets of exam technique to make sure you get a top grade.
Alternatively, if you're wanting to learn languages for travel or business purposes (or just for fun!) we can tailor the lessons 100% to suit your needs.

Harry taught my son GCSE English. He was an excellent tutor. He was knowledgeable and patient. My son was very happy with him
Harry taught my daughter when she was in year 11, as she was taking Spanish for GCSE. He was a great tutor! Before studying with him, she had been told she would only be able to sit the Foundation exam, not Higher Tier. After 4 months of tutoring with Harry, not only did she take Higher Tier GCSE, she got a mark of 8! He motivated her and got the best out of her. He was always very patient, very kind, extremely reliable and just knew how to make it work.
