About Tengku Asyraf

I am someone who is passionate about inspiring others to perform well in education, which will help them to open many doors later in life. Given my past academic achievements in Economics, I am very keen on helping others score well in their exams. In my lessons, I will also share key exam tips and techniques that I have utilized during my time as a student to score very well in my exams. I also have had several years of part-time tutoring experience and university level teaching in my previous work experiences.

Below are my academic achievements and previous work experience:
AS Level Economics: A (100/100 marks)
A Level Economics: A* (Won best Economics student award in college)
Degree: BSc Economics and Econometrics, University of Nottingham UK (Awarded First Class Honours and graduated 4th in cohort out of 263 students)
Masters: MPhil in Economics, University of Oxford
Former Economist in the Central Bank of Malaysia
Former Director of a Postgraduate Business School

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is catering to the students' individual needs and styles. The initial focus of my lessons is breaking down complex economic theories into digestible concepts, using real-life examples from my professional experience as a former economist from the Central Bank of Malaysia. Upon understanding the key economic concepts, I will offer unique insights into the various effective exam techniques that I have used myself to ace my past Economics exams. Lessons are typically 1.5 hours to 2 hours (either physical or online). My schedule is adaptable to the students' needs.

Karan is a very pleasant student to tutor given that he is very studious and has clearly shown a high level of commitment in his studies. He has also shown that he is willing to utilise reading materials that are outside of the syllabus in order to enhance his understanding of the concepts that he encounters in class.

Overall, I am certain that Karan will do well in his academic studies going forward. I am more than happy to play a part as a tutor for him as he achieves excellence in his academic studies.
