About Nigel
I went to a grammar school in Chester and from there chose Merton College, Oxford for its food and academic standing. I coxed in Trial VIIIs and got a boxing Blue that year. I was Captain of Boats for 2 years (probably because no-one else wanted to do it). I then went on to work for JP Morgan in the City, specialising in Derivatives and Equity Capital Markets. My approach is rather old-fashioned with the emphasis on grammar and syntax. I did a special paper in Comparative Philology and have always had a strong leaning towards the language aspect of Classics rather than its literature.
I would expect the lessons to be an hour in length, but it will depend on the age of the pupil.
I have had no previous experience of tutoring, having retired from a long career in the City. I did some voluntary work last year at St. Mary's, Crosby.
