About Connie
I’m currently studying Classics and German at Oxford University, where I recently received the Oriel College Collection Prize for academic performance. I achieved 4 A*s at A Level (Latin, Ancient Greek, German, History) and 11 grade 9s at GCSE. I consistently apply myself to everything I do, and tutoring is no exception. For context, I was Head Girl and achieved a Hockey Blue in my first year at Oxford.

My tutoring style is engaging, structured, and highly tailored to each individual student. I ensure that every lesson is purposeful by identifying exactly what the student wants to achieve—whether that’s exam success, university admission, or general progress. Lessons typically last one hour, but I’m flexible depending on the student’s preferences and goals. I have experience teaching Latin at primary level, having delivered weekly hour-long sessions to a group of 10 pupils over the course of a year. I’ve also supported younger students one-to-one within the school setting and now tutor online. I work with GCSE and A-Level students, including those preparing for university applications (e.g. Oxbridge entrance, personal statements, written work, and interview prep). As someone currently at Oxford, I can also offer insight into course and college choices, which can shape both admissions chances and overall university experience. I also support motivated younger learners, such as those preparing for 11+ and 13+ scholarship exams, as well as adult learners looking to reconnect with the classical languages or improve their German. Having achieved full marks (100%) in my OCR A Level History Coursework, I offer tailored support with refining essays across all topics, with a particular focus on meeting AO marking criteria. My lessons are always friendly and encouraging, with a consistent focus on building confidence, independence, and lasting academic success.
