About Raphaël
I know from experience how transformative a great teacher can be. Growing up, I was fortunate to learn from inspiring mentors who gave me confidence in my voice — and this is exactly what I aim to give my students: encouragement, clear guidance, and the tools to grow as musicians. As a Choral Scholar at the University of Oxford, I work daily at a high professional standard, performing and rehearsing with one of the world’s leading university choirs. This background allows me to bring both expertise and real-world musical experience to my teaching. In addition to singing, I also offer music theory lessons — either integrated with vocal training or as a separate focus. A strong grounding in theory not only supports better singing but also opens up a much deeper understanding of music. My goal is always to create a supportive, professional environment where students of all ages and levels can thrive.

I have been singing for many years and want to share the joy and confidence it can bring. My teaching is rooted in helping students develop healthy vocal technique, musical expression, and a love for singing. I adapt my approach to each student—whether you want to improve your technique, prepare for auditions, or simply sing for fun. As a Choral Scholar in the choir of New College, University of Oxford, I sing daily evensongs as well as concerts and regular solo recitals. This intensive training and professional-level experience give me a strong foundation to guide singers of all levels. Lessons typically last between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the student’s goals and needs. I welcome beginners, intermediate singers, and anyone who wants to grow their voice.
