About Ivan

Are you applying for the BA in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History at the University of Oxford? Amazing choice! Good chances, though, that there's little information and little information out there on the course or application/interview process!

If you live in or near Cambridge, you are welcome to have the lessons in the beautiful St John's College, or other colleges / locations!

I have recently finished my CAAH degree with a first class, and helped many CAAH applicants through several organisations with both the application and interview process. I have been interview helper for two years, so I know exactly how the interviews work and what questions you can expect (or even which tutors!). I was also student ambassador for both the Classics Faculty and my college (Somerville)! I also have experience in the AHCAAT test preparation.

I am from the Netherlands and after a master in international relations in Bologna, I am now studying an MPhil Heritage Studies at the University of Cambridge. I have also lived in Barcelona and Berlin for shorter periods. I normally tutor Dutch, Latin and Ancient Greek.

About the lesson

I have around 10 lessons prepared, including some mock interviews and many crash courses on important themes. I can always create more material, or shorten the lesson plan for you. I am always available on social media for questions outside the lessons as well!

Are you applying for another humanities or social science subject? I am happy to review your personal statement with you and/or give you general information about the application/interview process or life in Oxford and/or Cambridge.

I can also give some sessions on the application & interview preparation of other subjects, in particular Classics (the non-literature side) and the BA in Archaeology & Anthropology.
