Dear Madame/Sir,
I became acquainted with Adrian over a year ago and have been studying English with him for practical business applications.
To me, Adrian is the ideal teacher. He explains complex topics simply and succinctly, drawing upon an impressive academic and pedagogical background while never forgetting to tailor his approach to his student's individual needs.
Furthermore, we have become friends, and our lessons are accompanied by excellent intellectual discussions on scientific and social issues. This is facilitated by Adrian's remarkable worldview and scientific approach.
I wholeheartedly recommend him as a teacher for both children and adults.
Oleksii VoronkevychAdrian is a truly pedagogic teacher, always patient and willing to explain concepts in different ways to ensure that they have been understood. He creates a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages active participation and boosts confidence.
Adrian is an amazing tutor! Adrian tutored me through my teaching qualifications and showed me different strategies to solve calculations and problems. He helped to build my confidence with maths and how to build confidence in others. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a tutor; whether it’s for themselves or their child or whoever!
He is extremely supportive and patient! And has extensive knowledge so makes a tricky calculation easy.Adrian really built my confidence and helped me to get my head round some fast and useful methods aimed to tackle the mental arithmetic part of the test. I felt very confident in the final test and I was able to breeze through the mental arithmetic questions and pass the test.
I've never liked Maths nor have I ever found it easy but with Adrian he made me feel comfortable and confident
After three 1.5 hour sessions of Maths tutoring with Adrian I passed
the Numeracy QTS Test first time! I was very impressed with Adrian's approach, we worked through specific areas of Maths that I found difficult and he showed me techniques that simplified the question and made it quicker to answer. These techniques will also prove invaluable in my job as a primary teacher and, through my increased confidence, I hope the children I teach will have a more positive attitude towards Maths.Adrian started tutoring our 10-yr old son only recently, but we have already seen results. J's confidence has soared and, above all, his enjoyment and satisfaction with the subject has increased. I love to hear J muttering aloud as he does the exercises Adrian sets - he becomes totally absorbed with the challenge and it makes a refreshing change that he's not trying to get out of doing his homework! I have great faith that J now stands an infinitely better chance of achieving a scholarship in maths.
I am very happy to strongly recommend Adrian Beckett, who is providing 11+ maths tuition for my 10 year old son Jude. Jude's mother, myself and Jude have found Adrian to be an excellent tutor. He is very personable and affable, and is very good at engaging Jude. He shows a good understanding of Jude's maths needs. Jude has responded well (much better than when I tried to provide some maths guidance!) and has has made marked progress in a short time.
I am an RE Teacher, and completed my PGCE in 2009. The Numeracy skills test was something I had struggled with hugely for approximately a year and half, and with the great help of Adrian, I managed to pass my Numeracy test after just three sessions with him! I cannot thank him enough, as passing this test means I now have QTS (qualified teacher status) which is a massive change in both recognition and
pay as a teacher.See more recommendations
